Beat Their Swords into Plowshares with Composer Oded Zehavi

On November 18th, George Mason University's School of Music, the Mason Hillel organization, and the Mason Judaic Studies program are hosting a major event - the performance of a new composition by Israel composer Oded Zehavi. The work to be performed, "Beat Their Swords into Plowshares," was written as a form of commentary on Hebrew Scriptures and will be followed by a panel with Rachel Bergman and other faculty from the Music program, together with Bronfman Professor of Jewish Studies, Peter Ochs, of the University of Virginia.
20 minutes of music performance to be followed by the panel discussion. The event is free and open to the public.
