Covers the study of the Islamic tradition and its peoples during the last two centuries-the period of Islamic reform in the wake of Western hegemony-and the efforts of the community to readjust itself in light of Westernization and modernization, as well as the broader challenges of the secular, liberal, and technical age. Limited to three attempts.
