Prof. Farina Investigates Religion in Romania

Prof. John Farina is a founding member of the Bretanion Institute, a new scholarly research institution dedicated to the study of contemporary religion and culture in Romania, and the broader historical dialog between Eastern and Western Christianity. He was recently named editor-in-chief of Religion and Knowledge, a new, peer-reviewed scholarly journal pushed in cooperation with Universitatea Ovidius Din Constanta, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (University of Iasi), and the Romanian Academy of Sciences, Iasi, Romania.

 This summer, he will participate in field research on hesychasm, a meditative spiritual practice, among Romanian monks.
